The Case
Due to a new production model, managers and employees no longer had physical contact on a day-to-day basis. This prompted a need for a cloud-based solution to handle future applications. PostNord was involved in a digital workplace strategy and had released a range of Microsoft products. The project's aim was to digitize all staffing-related activities between employees and managers.

The client
PostNord is the leading provider of communication and logistics solutions to, from and within the Nordic region. They ensure postal services for private and businesses in Sweden and Denmark and are active in all the Nordic countries as logistics and freight distributors.
Post Danmark’s aim is to be the best postal service provider in Europe, measured in terms of service level, quality and price combined.

Nordic Staffing Solutions
PostNord has been using outdated, unsafe, and unsupported Microsoft equipment for some of its solutions, leading to costly breakdowns and inadequate performance. To address this issue and handle future applications, there was a need for a new cloud-based solution, as well as separate software intended for internal use only. In line with its digital workplace strategy, PostNord has released a range of Microsoft products to serve as a unified digital workflow experience. This strategy involves digitizing collaboration between employees and managers. The Nordic Staffing Services is an extension of this effort and was built around Microsoft Teams, utilizing its features.
TimeReg
TimeReg is a responsive application that has been deployed in MS Teams. Its purpose is to facilitate the registration of time and activities, replacing all related correspondence with the PostNord legacy server and all current hardware used by the Danish postal service.
This application is a digital tool designed for employees to report their working hours. Once an employee has approved their time sheet, the registrations are then ready for approval by the corresponding manager in TimeLog. The time report sheets are then stored in SAP, where they impact salary and payment. Additionally, TimeReg provides data for productivity calculation and reports throughout Postnord Denmark, making it a valuable tool for creating a clear product economy.

Teams is a complete chat and online meetings solution. Host audio, video, and web conferences, and chat with anyone inside or outside your organization. Teams makes teamwork easy. Coauthor and share files with popular Office 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, and Power BI.
React
React makes it painless to create interactive UIs. Design simple views for each state in your application, and React will efficiently update and render just the right components when your data changes. Declarative views make your code more predictable and easier to debug.
